Sophomore Album Will Be Release in Late June
Two Different Settings for Our CD Release Parties
Come one, come all! The Student Loan cordially invites you to Nate and Wally's Fishbowl the night of June 27th for a musical extravaganza. We'll be celebrating the release of our second album, "A New and Different Life." Our new album features a slew of new original tunes, one of our more popular covers, original artwork by Bowling Green's own Nick Schroeder, and a special guest soloist who will also be joining us for a few tunes that night! There's no cover and the music starts at 10:30. This is a night not to be missed! For those seeking a less raucous and more daylight-oriented extravaganza, you can also join us at Coffee Amici in Findlay, Ohio on June 21st at 8:00pm. Copies of our both our albums, T-Shirts, and bumper stickers (as well as some great coffee) will be available for purchase. Hope to see you there!

Appalachian Uprising 2008 Just Around the Corner
3 days of music and camping!
We’re loading up the gear and getting ready to head down south to Scottown, Ohio to play at the 7th Annual Appalachian Uprising. The festival goes from Thursday afternoon to early Sunday morning (June 5-8). Some other bands scheduled to appear include Sam Bush, Larry Keel, the Grascals, The Avett Brothers, and (a personal favorite of mine) Morgantown, WV based Hillbilly Gypsies. With such a strong lineup, why not skip work, dust off the ol’ tent, and make a weekend of it? Tickets are still on sale, so get one while you can. Just one thing: get all of the text messages out of your system before you leave; cell reception can be a little tricky to find down in the hills. If you need more info, check out www.appalachianuprising.net.

Bluegrass Festival at Centennial Terrace
Featuring 2 other great local bands!
On Saturday, June 14th we will be playing with our old friends Ind’grass and (hopefully) new friends The Rock Bottom Boys at Centennial Terrace in Sylvania, Ohio. For those of you unfamiliar with Centennial Terrace, it’s notable feature would be the 10,000 square foot dance floor it has – one of the biggest in the country! Tickets are $10.00, more information and directions are available at www.sylvaniarecreation.org/facilities/CTERRACE.

TSL Announces Plans to Relocate
Two More Months in the Midwest!
The Student Loan has officially made plans to move to Portland, Oregon at the end of July 2008. That's two months away! While we're scrambling around trying to find a place to live, you should be checking out our show dates in the right-hand column. These are the last shows we'll be playing as Ohio residents! Although there are plans in the works to tour through the Ohio area next spring, nothing is official yet. We will keep you all updated as our schedule gets solidified. We thank all of our fans and supporters in the midwest - you gave us an awesome start to the career that we are hoping to continue with this relocation. Keep in touch with us, and hopefully, we'll see you all again in the years to come!

CD of the Month
by Julio

Before landing in Cleveland at age 16, German-born Jann Klose grew up in Nairobi, Kenya and Johannesburg, South Africa. He has since established himself as a singer-songwriter in New York, and we were honored to share the bill with him at The Elbow Room in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Klose’s crisp vocals, professionally refined and battle-tested on Broadway, deliver the heartfelt honesty of a man who has truly lived in this world. His most recent release, Reverie (2007), provides an assortment of textures and flirts with stylistic influences both western and non-western, yet Klose always seems to feel at home. Get to know him and give him a listen at www.jannklose.com.
